If I was you, I would contact the "driver advocate" at FFE and find out "WHY".
Deb is a stickler on "hitting curbs", but she passed a guy who almost hit the wall on the "U-Turn" under the freeway, and had NO mirror use skills to speak of.
I'm wondering if someone shanked you in the back from somewhere else or something to get that reaction.
Sounds like she thought you were someone else. ????????
As to "home time" at FFE.....
I'm on my hometime right now.
I told them I wanted it, and they got me home.... even with a 200+ mile deadhead.
I am also getting 4 days since I was gone a month (1 wk orientation and 3 wks trainer truck)
I came home wednesday evening, and leave out monday.
Anyone have current info on FFE?

Hello Dixie Leather and the Group:
I wish that I knew that the FFE had a Driver advocate a few weeks ago. I think that I will ask about it.
Yes, I am glad that if they thought that I was incompetent or something that they did'nt write a DAC report. Maybe they just figured that it did'nt make sense to them either.
Yes, my hometown has more than a few bullys who would probably try to B.S. their way into my opportunities in my new career. It would'nt suprise me at all. I may be a little bit socially slow and a timid kind of a guy, and that probably invited some of it, but there's no place for B.S. for selecting good drivers.
Deb explained to the Test group in the Truck that she can't remember people's names that well, and at the end of the exam she just called me "man" and looked kind of puzzeled and then she looked kind of inappropriately angry as well. I could never figure out that kind of a reaction, other than maybe pure B.S. games were playing with her head.
I at least narrated my driving, whenever I knew that I would be turning and using the mirrors.
I am just glad that I did not have any accidents or citations or lose any CSA points while I was with the FFE.
I would still like to come back to the FFE at some future point in time whenever I get to have more experience.
I think that Deb was more concerned with whether I had the skills to begin with in order to be a Driver. That's crazy! -
i curently have a class a cdl ,but been driving class b flaties for the past 7 yrs.No points no wrecks no bad dot reportsafter the company went belly up i choose to go over the road again,of course i knew with no recent class a exp i would nd to go in as a noob no biggie can accept that. The more i read about ffe as a whole im glad to be shiping off to there academy in texas next week .I know what im getting into the long miles limited at best home time but thats part of paying my dues its all good.Im happy they have such a drill down about safety both osha and dot if it can`t be done safely it can`t be done.To all those thinking about trucking its a different life trust me you will go places you won`t believe and places you wish you never went its all part of paying those dues take the good with bad and your dispatch is no travel agent and your trainer is not your freind he is your teacher listen and pay atention and learn well. Peace out Rich
