It has been a while since I popped in to see what was going on here on the Forum. Randy and I are still here... Randy is a solo driver... I ride full time. It will be two years this week.
We are in a new 2012 white Cascadia... she runs well and has a lot more room for two people living in there full time. We have gotten up to 8.7 one trip, but most of the time the average would be around 6.4. Lots of heavy loads.
For the most part we like working with JCT. Yeah... we had a bad DM, changed and so far not too bad. We get decent miles... some weeks better than others. They could be more organized.... that is a given, but we have learned to work with them. We are older... no family or house payments.... in it to buy the truck... living on the road until then so our situation is different than others with family at home.
No Elogs so far on this new truck... no mention of it to us either. Communication is key... and yes, at times there are misunderstandings. Work it out... it happens in every job. If you are a hot head, get up set at every little thing... "you won't do this or that" you probably won't like it here. You probably don't like most anywhere for that matter.
At this point we we are in it here for the long haul, pay the truck off... but if that "dream job" comes along... or we win the lottery.... well there is a little cabin up in Alaska with our name on it...

Dabs, glad to here ya'll are still alive and kicking. What ever happened to the Yellow Monster? Miss your informative posts in this forum.... I guess you hang out on the FB page now. Take care.
dabs Thanks this. -
We traded Old Yeller in. We loved her, BUT there was so little room, too many breakdowns and quirks costing time and money... and no where the comfort of a Cascadia. Honey... if "home" is the road for the next 5 years (been 3 already)... I want as much comfort as possible. Really we are both much happier in the Cascadia.
I do FB some, kind of bored with that, but really I have gotten back to painting and drawing in the truck now. I finally figured out I could do those things while living on the road. PLUS... I now have room to do those things, it is my passion and keeps me sane...
Soon we'll get a TV... mostly to watch movies together. It is the high life for us!Jarhed1964 and The Challenger Thank this. -
Please give some details on how the new Cascadias r spec'd. I'm headed for orientation on Sun. 11/20. Thinkin I'll probably get a fr8er also. Hows the miles holdin up? Wish u best a luck with the new truck.
