I think I am 48, as I type this I am in the Flying J on I 80 exit 179 in North Platte Nebraska. I am on a 2000+ trip that I should get in by Tuesday and this should make me right at 3000 miles for the week.

Hey X-ray I'm thinking of going to Wse I'll have to go out with a trainer but I am more than willing if that's what it takes. Just wondering if they still treating you right? I know you have to start somewhere and this in what I've read seems to be the best.

Yes if you don't have at least 6 months of recent experience you will be required to go with a trainer. Once you get 10,000 miles driving they will give you a road test and your own truck. WSE is not a large company. I only have one gripe with them, and that is their idling policy. Make sure you have a frank conversation with your recruiter about this. Most of the WSE trucks DO NOT HAVE APU's, and the company fusses at you if your idling percentage goes much past 40%. This means you will have times when you are freezing and times when your cab is an oven. They honestly don't give a #### about your comfort. Just a word to the wise, go into your employment with both eyes open.
Everett Thanks this. -
Well I cleaned out my truck today. I tried to hold on till August so my Dak would not look bad, but that became impossible. These long mind numbing waits to get loaded and unloaded, plus the horrible conditions of their trailers was just the starting point. I must admit the miles and pay was OK, but the other stuff just became more then I could bear. There are some fine people that work for WSE, but the contempt this company has for their drivers shows in the junk trucks they have, the piss poor trailers and the sorry pitiful driver facilities they have in the terminals. I spent 4 full days in Elm Springs just before Christmas, sitting there in that smelly poorly equipped driver lounge was torture. I won't get into the trigger that set it all off this morning, but I told them I was quitting, cleaned my truck out and left. Oh I was told by my FM that I had been selected for a new tractor and even got a letter about it. However I rather drive an old piece of junk tractor for a company that cares, then a new one for this nightmare. Take my advise, stay far far away from WSE!
