sazook I truly appreciate your comments re Seebs. While some companies would fire for the same infraction, I believe termination should be the last resort unless the action was illegal or unethical. If this was a repeat offense, then fire away. Sometimes you find a diamond in the rough if you polish it enough. I know when I go to Prime I'm going to make mistakes and plenty of 'em. If the company is going to fire me for the first infraction then why waste Prime's time or mine by even showing up? All the best to you and family.

In all honesty guys. I'd rather my thread not turn into one big argument. My FM knows it happened. Nothing was broke. No one was hurt. The load is now delivered.
It was a mistake.
That's all. No more discussion on this please.GSWx Thanks this. -
He messed up, he admitted it, he learned from it, he moved on.... Lets see if we can continue this trend.

And, most important, you learned. Well done. And thanks for sharing. You get no argument from me. Because it is, after all, a Prime Adventure!

This last summer I'm at Tropicana waiting on load, yard jockey comes over says one of prime drivers need help hooking up trailer.. It was a high hook, but the driver trapped the fifth wheel with king pin by raising the landing gear, and then couldn't lower them back down. One Puzzled driver indeed... and why no dump switchs on the prime trucks???? Anyways, allways carry a set of wrenchs on your truck.
-
Some of the newer trucks have a suspension dump. Mine does. That was my first thought, it made the process a lot easier.
Got a preplan for North East Ohio. Hoping they might get me a small run to get me to Columbus. Who knows? -

Seebs sorry to see your day sucked but as said before things happen and it matters that youve learned from it and no matter how much of a hurry you are in you don't make the same mistake twice food luck on your next load
