We don't have enough data to give you an average yet. He's been solo for three weeks, 1 of which the truck spent 2 days in the shop after he retrieved the truck, but they got him a load back to Pittston for that. Then there was the two days the truck was in the shop for an airleak. He has had 2 resets. And he was making his way home for our youngest daughter's birthday, (2nd 34) so that kind of limited his miles. Also, the long trip he got out of here after that straddled the pay period, which "artificially" deflated last week's, and will do the increase this one. He did the last 400 miles of a 1600 mile run Tuesday, and the drop was Wednesday. What I can say is that as of this morning, he has run 9244 miles since October 21. I know that he'll get at least another 1500 by Tuesday, since he is will be on the way home for hometime over the holiday.

Given 4 days down time, we are actually fairly happy with his progress.

Week 1: 915 (retrieval of abandoned truck, one trip back to Pittston for them to go over the truck)
    Week 2: 2185 (ending w/ a 34 reset 60 miles from the house)
    Week 3: 2808
    Week 4: 1995 w/ the 4 days to go.

Also: He has lost a few hours driving time here and there when he got lost. I have been able to get him out of each of those situations, but what I can see on Google Maps, and what he can see on a CMV atlas aren't always the same. He's bringing me home one of those, so that I can help him with better information in MY toolbox. I help him plan his trips, find him WM to get his groceries, and keep his spirits up. He runs the traffic, makes the pickups and deliveries on time. He needs to learn to work his HOS a little better, but he is learning.

He figured out how many days of actual driving (took out the shop days and the 34s, I think) and divided the number of miles by the day for a daily average, then multiplied it by 30ish. I think. I didn't do the actual math.

Because my spreadsheet is right, and I mis-copied.

    Week 4: 1341 (1600 mile trip straddling cut-off)
    Week 5: 1995, (4 days left)

    Sorry about the confusion.

You have to remember you can't run 30 day a month. You have unloading and loading and you can only work 70 hours in 8 days. Thats were creative logging cames in. It's hard to do with elogs.:biggrin_25525::biggrin_25512:

I didn't do the adding. DTB wrote: "...he has run 9244 miles since October 21. I know that he'll get at least another 1500 by Tuesday..."

"...by Tuesday" means by Nov 22, so one month from Oct 21. 9244 since Oct 21 + 1500 by Nov 22 = 10,744 miles.

Like I said, almost 11,000 miles. But if her numbers were wrong, as she said, so would mine.
