Duis holding me back!!!

Put it another way Sid, lets say YOU are the owner of a semi and trailer, a couple of years old say $145,000 in value. A driver with a new CDL and 3 DUIs walks up to you and asks if he can drive your truck ($145,000) with a load of electronics ($200,000) around the USA, What would you say? If you go the O/O route the insurance will be impossible.

 

When I was leased to Schneider they had a trailer full on Kool Aid stolen.........value $2 million

Most insurance looks at past 5-years on DUIs. Mine asks "have you ever been convicted". But only searches back 10-years.

You can probably get away with a smaller carrier that does not do the indepth background check and just pulls DMV and checks employment. But these are also the types of carriers that abuse drivers.
