Are there any vaccines that are REQUIRED before heading to training? Perhaps this is something one does personally and the trucking compabies could care less but I was just wondering since I will be heading out in December.
Thanks.

The following immunizations are not required by the trucking industry, but are recommended by the National Institutes of Health for men.
Influenza vaccine: Yearly if over age 50.
Pneumococcal vaccine: One time only, after age 65.
Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis booster vaccine: Every 10 years. Tetanus and diphtheria only after age 65.
Meningococcal vaccine: Discuss with your doctor if you are a college student or military recruit.
Herpes zoster vaccine to prevent shingles: Starting at age 60, one time only if you had chicken pox.
Human papillomavirus vaccine: Up to age 26, if not already completed vaccine series. -
