Condo, not only are you snoring, you're drooling.

Safe haven is a place to park and leave a hazmat truck loaded with explosives unattended. It is determined by local authorities. I'm not sure about the other references to safe haven in this thread.
Meltom Thanks this. -
Where did you hear that? Post 9/11 changed the rules but even before you couldn't just take a tank truck loaded with any type of hazmat load and park it anywhere just like you can't drive one just anywhere. You have to stay on designated routing. Getting caught driving a hazmat load on any restricted route will result in some mighty hefty fines. Same can go for parking as well.

Never park with Division 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3 explosives within five feet of the traveled part of the road. Except for short periods of time needed for vehicle operation necessities (e.g., fueling), do not park within 300 feet of:
A bridge, tunnel, or building.
A place where people gather.
An open fire.
If you must park to do your job, do so only briefly.
Don't park on private property unless the owner is aware of the danger. Someone must always watch the parked vehicle. You may let someone else watch it for you only if your vehicle is:
On the shipper's property.
On the carrier's property.
On the consignee's property.
You are allowed to leave your vehicle unattended in a safe haven. A safe haven is an approved place for parking unattended vehicles loaded with explosives. Designation of authorized safe havens is usually made by local authorities. -
The good thing about sleep apnea, you are a light sleeper able to wake up easily because you are use to it.
I haven't drooled in years. You hit 45, you dry up.

But I don't even know a 1000 words

Thanks that makes some sence, not much but some. I guess another reason to stay off those #### e logs. I'll try to stay more up to date on crap that doesn't effect me (at this moment) from now on
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
So now my guys want eLogs to install an option for safe haven. I've convinced them that safe haven isn't the right thing and not to use Personal Conveyance while loaded, but now they want to claim adverse conditions for when Wal-Mart asks them to leave after their deliveries. I need a better way to explain to them that adverse conditions does not include Wal-Mart wont let me park here. I'm also pretty sure that they suffer hearing loss to the words "Trip" and "Planning"
ECU51 Thanks this. -
Seriously, did all your drivers arrive on the short bus?
