    How are all my fellow truckers doing out there? Well, my name is Jalil, Im still in school, I've had a really rough life and now Im trying to get it together. I just got out of prison after doing 14 Years. Im half way through truck driving school and having a hard time finding a company that will give me a shot to prove myself. I have just been shot down by over 50 companies. They either want experiance or someone who has been out of jail for 5-10 years. I just got out in January. I graduate in January 2012 and Im trying to secure a pre-hire. Is there anyone out there that can help me out or just give me some good advice?

    Welcome to the forums. It's unfortunate that the people at your school didn't tell you that you'll have trouble finding a job. If you just got out of prison after doing 14 years, you probably need to count on finding a different job until a lot more time goes by. And then, your schooling will no longer be current so you'll have to do that all over again.

    Do some reading through the forums and you'll find plenty of threads by convicted felons and people who have found a job after serving time. But, I can't remember any of them that had done time as recently as you have. Do some searches and some reading and maybe you'll find something to give you a little hope, though. Good luck.
