Few states sell O/W Permits on a multiple piece load. Ohio does for steel, New York will if you have more than 5 axles are two that do.

Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah...are some where you can register your truck for heavier weights.
-
No such permit around here. No such games.
-
Like we all know....... its all about the revenue enhancement. -
The power of ink and paper is what stops you....

Actually you do. All states have heavy permits. -
Not on multiple piece loads!
If they did, we would have loaded two D6 Cats and hauled them instead of moving one @ a time.... -
Right.
I think only Ohio, PA, KY have multiple piece load permits. KY has a limit of mileage for multiple piece permits but not singles. jfaulk did I get that right? I forget the KY permit junk.
Usually equipment is a whole other permit deal. Its nothing like coil permits. -
Is that a problem? LOL
Ky dont have a permit for multi coil loads, only one big heavy coil. Theres a word they use and I cant think of it. No inadvisable loads or something like that. -
The term you are looking for is "divisible loads".
WY uses the same wording. -
Yeah thats it. Had a brain fart.
