Nothing wrong with rednecks. Just don't like the stupid one that are on here shouting how great it is here. Just a bunch of glorified steering wheel holders. They are too stupid to do research. They seem to think this is the best and they are making top $$$. When in reality they are loosing. But they can't do simple math and see that for themselves. They seem to think that I said jbs is bad. When all I said was the company is good, has good equipment, and benefits. Some of there policies need to be better, that's all. But they seem to think why people are quitting is due to experience. When in reality its some of the policies like when u put in for home time they send you to jersey or some other dam place, and some of the smarter people are quitting because they know there time is worth more then allowing someone to take advantage and give shippers and receivers 4 hrs to load or unload a truck. Like just last week I sat at a receiver for 12.5 hrs. But only got paid for 8 hrs. And that in its self is what the problem is.

You are so right enough said about the subject, but on the other hand it is not up to you to be the judge of people. We create our own destiny and life is to short to be unhappy but just because we are happy doing something you do not agree on doesnt make it wrong. So if you are so unhappy here leave no one is holding a gun to your head to make you work. Also if it wasnt for the Rednecks this country would really be in the pits.Nothing wrong with the Good Ole boys, and gals they keep this country rolling and we do it with our heads held high. Stay safe all

I was enjoying this thread until this little flame war started. Tankerman is abusive and has pretty much stunk up the joint. I know that by posting this I am going to see another Tankerman post because he has to have the last word. I just needed to get this off my chest. Sorry.
Florida Girl, Seriously4571 and JackMac Thank this. -

Your right I am being abusive. When people attack me I'm going to attack back. The only thing stinking in this place is all the people with a one track mind. As I said several times if your happy giving up hours to sit at a dock more power to you. I'm just simply saying this isn't for me. But like with any internet forum its here to voice a opinion. That's why there are several divisions to trucking. Some people are happy pulling reefers and some are happy pulling flatbeds. But if you like being taken advantage of. Then by all means continue doing what your doing. But when it all comes down to it we are all here to either support our selves or our families. And I know with all the sit and wait time here at the docks I'm loosing money to support my family. And if you all have a issue with. So be it. I'm moving on.Tardis said: ↑

Floridagirl your right. But if you roll back thru the threads you will see several posts. From people quitting and people seeking advice. Just like what I just posted here. When I'm being attacked your right I will fight back. Like I said if your husband and yourself is happy. Then by all means I'm happy for you. I just know with the amount of time spent away from home doesn't equal the pay that you receive. But if you 2 are happy then by all means be happy. And your right, as soon as I get out to california today I'm going to work on my resume to get the perfect job as you call it. And I will say I won't be here in a year later in time. All I have asked here is to maintain at least 2500 miles a week. But that seems to be impossible here. And as for your husband not sitting a lot. Yea he's been really lucky. Several other jbs drivers have sat for long periods of time. But it seems like people only read what's on the current page. The guy on here named doc holiday has voiced a opinion about getting a change. But like typical truck drivers he will be all alone because people can't think on there own. I'm on doc holidays side in this for a change for the better. But that's a long uphill battle. Too many drivers here don't have a issue with sitting and not being paid.

That Doc Holiday? Yeah good luck with the guarantee home time thing. When they can't even guarantee when a load is going to be out of the plant. Be thankful you get detention. Because you could have not been paid for none of those hours dude. No Company is going to make up the difference for the amount of time you are away from home. Who lied to you. This is just a thought. Not talking to the Angry guy who cries about not getting paid for the things that was never promised in the first place.DocHoliday said: ↑Steelers Fan,
I think enough of this company that after a Hiatus earlier this year I returned to JBS could not find a company that offered the benefits that this company gave me.
Insurance that is good and not expensive, new equipment, and I make very good money here. I would not get out of bed for less than 1200.00 a week, I run OTR when I am off this naturally drops a little, but on average that is what I look to take home.
As for the 6 days out 6 days off, anything after that is Vacation time, When I go home in August I will be home for 6 days, as it is at the time of my Birthday this year I plan to enjoy my time at home. Normally I work 3 weeks out 3 days off. It is up to you and what fits your schedule.Click to expand... -
Oh trust me if my husband had been sitting or getting low miles Im sure he would be on the band wagon with you. Noone is saying you can not have opinion all Im saying is you do not have to call people names to get your point across. And if it was the case that they can not think on their own then they should be on the band wagon also. Maybe if you just stop and listen to yourself you would understand what we are saying and why, as far as being away from home that what OTR drivers do, Just saying, anyway you have a great day and a safe one.tankerman1974 said: ↑Floridagirl your right.
