The Detroit 60 series plate says 515 HP, but they do turn them down though. I'm not sure how much.

I used to love to run out of route with these guys. Once when I was in the hills of east Oklahoma, there were so many highways on my route, there was no way I was going to get it right. Then I figured out why. Low bridge. OOps. Lucky I was just able to squeeze under.

Seems as though most everybody either works for the best, or the worst company out there. Love em or hate em. Some people there's just no pleasing.
But in the 8 days I just spent in phase 1 at Roehl in Appleton
I talked with at least a dozen drivers in their lounge and yard and found
all to be happy with nothing but good things to say.
I feel the recruiter I had did not in any way bs me and went above and beyond with my situation. The instructors and others I went through this process with were great and in no way tried to mislead me as what to expect.
The training was intense, I think top notch and again above and beyond.

I had lots of others offer nothing much and one guarantee me .41 because I would be on a sliding scale. They also said, 12 days out name your time at home. Right, I might have been born at night, but it wasn't last night. Being a newbie doesn't make me stupid, just cautious.

I'm doing a restart at the hotel and will be in phase 2 with a trainer Wed.
I'm anxious to keep this rolling and am looking forward to a key and my rig in 2 weeks.
The hotel they use is great. Feed you good food, and the only time you'll see a bus is if you don't cut the mustard. Rental car is the norm for the trip here.
I spent 3 months researching companies and getting lot's of pre hires and kept coming back to Roehl. I believe I made a great choice. The best choice for me. Call me naive if you will but I believe when they say I'll be home every 11-14 days for 2 occasionally 3 I believe them. No guarantees,
nothing set in stone but this is what I can expect, along with a extremely safety conscience company which was a high priority.

To each his own but I think I may have found a happy home, I hope for a long time:yes2557:

Roehl doesn't do the grey dog and when I asked why: "Everett would never send his drivers on a mode of transportation he wouldn't take himself."

Roehl is a very good place to start for sure. I will be waiting to see your posts when you are being brought home late and run out of the house early. Not that this happens too often, bug it does happen. Smart guys aren't gonna bash the company at a terminal to a noon that could be a plant. Lol.
When a company like say Crete can offer drivers more cpm with the same basic miles how can you stay? Roehl is a solid company, but like all trucking companies there are good and bads. Most bads are written off as being disgruntled and couldn't cut it types. Honestly they are just like you and myself. My thoughts have always been everyone needs to find the company that fits them. Roehl fits some for a while and others for a lifetime. Same goes for places like SWIFT and Schneider you can find all sides with large companies.
I knew the day I showed up that it was a temporary stop for me. That was my agenda on my way to home daily local job.
Good luck to ya caveman. Enjoy and stay safe out there.

Whoa wait hold on Roehl pays for meals in orientation? Hot ####!!!!

Just applied a few days ago...Former Cr England Driver(A whole 3 months)...Umm we wont talk about that...Recruiter called today after I called him yesterday for some motivation...Background/MVR/Employment all verified...Should take a pre-employment Drug/DOT Physical here locally....Than get a date for orientation

    Going Flatbed!!!!!!!!
Does anybody know how the training pay works for skateboard?
How Long is the skateboard class a week or two?

Havent talked to the recruiter much I find straight and to the point leaves less room for error atleast for the time being....Pretty much all the info I have from him is....' You go to Flatbed training once you finish you get a trainer and go out for 13 days @ 90 dollars a day, after that you get a truck assignment and get routed home for a few days off since you have been gone for more than 21 days'

Does that seem legit to you guys?
Cr england was never this nice.....

Somebody has stated the flat bed trucks were the better trucks?

Just trying to get some more knowledge of Roehl, thanks in advance.
