Hello Roehl Drivers, I have been speaking to Cheryl in recruiting and is getting things setup for me in Marchfield late January, I have things to clear up at home. I have my CDL but have not driven for 10 years so I will be taking the full class just not having to test for CDL. I will be coming from Florida and my question is should I drive up or is it best to fly, if so what are the challenges for getting to and from hotel to school everyday? Once done with class will I go straight to a truck with a trainer or home then return? I would imagine Atlanta would be my terminal for picking up a trainer since I live in the deep south. I was told I would be on van national.

I live in Jax for now...but it would be better to drive...the hotel is a little ways away from the Marshfield terminal...but not far takes maybe five ten minutes....Its going to be cold...and I mean COLD...bring warm cloths and a Coat (a winter one)...

with the phases I am not sure...you might be running around with a local driver....someone said before I believe that phase 1 you will do while your in Marshfield...

Then you will go home and your trainer will contact you and arrange to pick you up...
Atlanta maybe your home terminal...mine actually is Appleton (y I don't know)....

Hey guys....Is Marshfield the only location for the CDL school for Roehl I see on here that others are either goind to Gary or Elllenwood. Am I reading this wrong or are those locations just for meeting up with your otr trainer? Also, once we finish the cdl class do we go directly to a otr trainer or is there a lag time for that? I've had my cdl for 10 yrs, just need some good old fashion rust remover if you know what I mean.

marshfield is the location of RDTC...the others are for orientation as if you came out of a 3rd party school or are an experienced driver...you do phase 1 in marshfield...the otr trainer will come and get you for phase 2 you might have to drive to meet him (75 miles) but they get as close as possible...there might be a little lag time (about a week) before the otr trainer grabs ya...
