The Walmart in Aurora, CO I-70 and exit286 actually has it's own separate truck parking for 20 trucks I believe.. it's packed every night.. there are signs designating where the trucks park and states there are no services such as fuel or sewer (rv's) on the premises.. The next exit west is a flying J, however it too is usually packed and has TIGHT parking.

well if the lazy assed lazy both new and a few older drivers would STOP THROWING thier pee bottle and trash out the window , and walk it to the trash can, we would problely allowed to park at more walmarts.
I have made it a mission to, if i see some one do that, get their comany name truck # call them into thier company , asw ell as call that walmart store manager .
I tired of this crap. Stuff like this furthers the bad image the public has of us.

I always go to the back of the Walmart, where either their docks are or even their spotted trailers,

Then wait for someone who works there and politely ask if its in their way and if its OK to park there,

Not once have they told me to get lost, and if its in the way they will tell me where to park....

Every Wal-mart is different, it depends on city ordinance, manager discretion, and abuse by drivers. The one in Aurora, Co. on Tower Rd. has truck parking, about 20 trucks, and a limit of 10 hrs parking. However, they are very strict on the no idling, if you can't park without idling, they will kick you out. The store in Commerce City is a little more lax, however, don't park there and try to eat at one of the resturants, security will run you off. The store in Thornton, Co. shares a lot with a plaza, depends on the mood and the time of year. When they are busy, trucks are not permitted, even Wal-Mart trucks will be told to leave.

Yea I was in New Albany ,MS the other day at the DC , One of the only Wally World DC's that have room for trucks right outside the gate .
What is totally wrong is that Walmart DC's have tons of places for trucks to park with out being in the way of Ops . yet they no longer let drivers stay for their breaks , They dont give a dam if you have run your hours out to the last min to get their crap delivered . I am on my way to Lowes DC in Kissimme Fl and it says right on the QCom You will literally be thrown off the yard .There is no reason for this type of treatment . Same for the Walmart Stores . We deliver their crap and they treat us like crap . This industry is gettting more and more F___ed up . Everyone wants their crap delivered ASAP and we do all we can to get it there and when we need to take our breaks or we have run out of drive time , they tell us to f off .
Truck stops fill up fast and with the Elogs , drivers are having to shut down in places they normally wouldnt .I have seen where some self rightous drivers say ,if you do a good trip plan , you wont have to worry about a place to park . OPEN YOUR EYES . it is getting harder and harder to get a spot in a truck stop especially in the north east . And again , with Elogs its getting worse .But its really bad when the DC's... Walmart , Lowes ,Target ,wont let you stay on the yard .
I am so happy I am on my last few months driving trucks . leaving the USA FINALLY FOR GOOD .:biggrin_25522:

Don't blame the DCs, stores, etc for not allowing truck parking, blame your fellow drivers who throw trash, pee on the lot, disrespect the place for allowing them to take a break there and so on for messing it for everyone!
