At least 10 gauge. If you are planning a small amp in the future go up to 8 ga. 6ga will handle anything you are likely to ever use. 10 gauge is probably over kill for just a straight, legal CB, but it is the smallest I will use. If you are going to power a radio and a linear, you can also run two sets of smaller gauge wire instead of one larger gauge wire. I ran 6 gauge when I was running a tuned up Cobra 29 and a Texas Star 667. Never had any lack of power problems.blacklabel Thanks this.

Inline fuse?

Yep, right near the battery. I think I had a 40 amp on my 6ga if I remember correctly, then the standard fuses on the radio and linear as well.blacklabel Thanks this.
