Im a (union) LTL driver. We just got our first 2 tractors that use DEF last month. Both are already trashed because drivers put diesel where the deer piss goes.

Dont be a moron. It even says "Not for diesel fuel" on the #### DEF tank.

    Some people are just stupid.

And we all thought paying union dues made you smarted
Than most!?! Kidding aside we have heard of drivers
Filling the def tank with washer fluid (blue cap!) . Does
About 13 k worth of damage!

we've had, from what I understand, 5 guys do that. I just wonder how that thought process goes. Hmm, this gauge says I'm low on DEF? Well I am getting fuel, I'll just splash a little in there, I'm sure it's probably all the same. Wait, did that label say not for diesel fuel? Oh well what is the worst thing that could happen....

Nope, not unreal atall. Back in the day I remember "drivers" cooking engines with cold-start ether injectors, putting gas in the diesel tanks for "more power" and a whole host of other dumb stuff.

    Stupid goes on forever.

Now they can just blow the manifolds off, with air "preheaters".

I wonder if the will ever make it part of the CDL testing procedure that folks be able to READ and more importantly, comprehend what they read?
