As I have stated before. When you are training to drive 3 weeks is a general rule of getting a cdl . Most companys will not hire you and throw you into there truck by yourself as soon as you are out of class. They will put you with a lead driver for several weeks or months depending on how you perform. When it comes to making money most drivers can't afford 20 plus weeks of training and 10,000 dollars. So the end result is 3 weeks or 25 weeks training won't put you behind the wheel as soon as you get out of class by yourself.

I would have to disagree with your numbers...many people that attend 3 week courses have to spend extended time in training with the company they sign with. They aren't paid anywhere near $1000 a week...in fact, I have spoke with many people who were paid less than hourly mcdonalds worker (not trying to knock mcdonalds). Wereas, you spend 20 weeks in CDL training, attend company orientation for a month and you start making the pay you would expect as a truck driver...Some people can't afford to attend extended training...but, if you can, why wouldn't you?

Another thing to consider is that you don't actually pay 10k. Companies have tuition reimbursement, and if you use the money properly, you can get your CDL for free.

DDA is only after yor pell grant money and burdening you with 7000 dollars of student debt. 20week is BS you only need 4 weeks Total tuition is 10,200 us dollars . You can go to the unemployment office and they will send you to a school for free and a job. Or ASU- newport only 2200.00

I have been thinking of going to DDA in Little rock, would yall recommend it? I've already spoke with a recruiter, however i havent drove a big truck before, so I may need the extra 10 weeks it takes to learn everything. Can i get some reviews, pros and cons of the school?
