I have to agree about the 500-600 mile runs every day with Boyd, it got really bad when you had a 5 or 8 hour load time and had to be in richmond va from cleveland by the next morning. push push push, i would have loved to jump in a shower every other day. I hear that roehl doesnt give you stupid delivery expectations. they make them more realistic. i actually just filled out my ap with them just yesturday. i am waiting to hear back from them as soon as the office personel get back from thanks giving holiday. they say 11-14 days out and three days home for me in the southeast is that true?

My son drive for them in the flatbed division. He gets decent miles and get good home time. They do a lot of relays and that sucks, lots of equipment swapping. He is never been pushed on deliveries always were reasonable. Heck they even gave him a new truck four months ago. He does have a good FM. -
sorry i know you do i was talking about the guy i found out drives for roehl. thanks though, you in a Pilot somewhere now on the old laptop typing away or what? lol I love flatbeding but some places i just hated going to. unloads always went quick unless you were at the port of houston sitting behind 100 other trucks

The worst company i drove for back in 2000 was E.W. Wylie. mmmmm bad memories. back then no home time. maybe after 3 months out and then they still couldnt get me home on time.

i was with boyd for a year. had a decent fm there. if you ever work there ask for James Watkins to be your FM. just dont expect him to be around on fridays when auburn is playing on sat he is an auburn nut and saves is vacation time just for taking off fridays during football season. i wont name names but i always got some boob from the trainer department to mess up my hometime that i worked out with my fm. I talked to a few mav drivers and they were good guys. be safe and have a good one. 10-7

No made it home Wednesday afternoon my son made it home couple hours after me. We are both home till Monday. I have to say things have been pretty good flatbeding have not had a long wait in a while. Worst one I had was that Home Depot in Texas four hours but got caught up on some cleaning and BSing.

I was talking to one of their O/O's yesterday (A real O/O, Not a L/O) he looked like he hadn't showered in a month and he was crying about there being "no money in trucking" while his truck sat 50 feet away idling in 55+ degree weather...He never shut it off the whole time I was there and it was still idling this morning when I left at around 11:00.
He pulls for one of the worst flatbed carriers in the country and burns $4.00 worth of fuel per hour just sitting there in a truckstop for a 4 day weekend and "It's the trucking industry's fault" that he has no money.
If this fool idles all day and night for the whole 4 days he'll burn $384.00 worth of fuel that'll come right off of his bottom line!
You just can't fix stupid!
