Transport America

i hate to be a hypocrite because i just a few hours ago posted how TA was a decent company.. BUT... after delivering a load on time i get a load out of huron ky to pittsbugh pa, its around 280 miles or so. i left grove city oh around 1pm stopped and had turkey from dennys because thats what i was told to do. dropped my trailer 5pm est. found out my load was going to be PICKED until 11pm est. so ok no big deal. called my dispatch "hey there is no way i am going to be able to make it on time for this load out of here". ok no problem we will find you another load, ok great. new load comes through. same load but im relaying it 114 miles and getting paid for 114 miles at .34 a mile. ON A HOLIDAY. so far this week i have made around 339. its thursday. pay cut off is saturday. im not one to complain about where i work. but this is the FIRST time i have ever been royally shafted. let alone i just got a message that went fleet wide saying we may not be able to get people home because we have SOO much freight moving right now. just really pissed me off.
