WELL HERES THE SKINNY ON MCLEOD EXPRESS THIS IS THE VIEWS FROM WHAT I WENT THRU AND MY FRIENDS WENT THRU AS WELL. I STARTED WITH THEM AFTER THE COMPANY I WAS WITH LOST THIER ACCOUNT. MYSELF AND 4 OTHERS LISTENED TO THE RECRUITER AND ALL HAD THE SAME OPINION.. SHE REALLY KNEW HER STUFF AND SOUNDED GREAT.. THE STATEMENT FROM HER WAS " 40CPM, 2500 - 2700 MILES A WEEK WITH AT GARRENTEE OF 800$ GROSS AS LONG AS YOU DIDNT REFUSE LOADS OR WERE LATE FOR APPT. AND MADE YOURSELF AVAIL. MON THRU FRI AND SAT AND SUN IF IT WAS YOUR WEEKEND TO WORK WITH A GARENTEE TO BE HOME 3 OUT OF 4 WEEKENDS" SOUNDS GREAT RIGHT????
HERES WHAT YOU END UP WITH: THE ORIENTATION IS A JOKE THEY DONT EVEN ROAD TEST YOU, PHYSICALS HA HA IF YOU HAVE A CURRENT CARD THEY USE THAT AND THEY DONT WANT THE LONG FORM JUST THE CARD, YOU WILL GET THE 40CPM THEY OFFER,, I HEAR GUYS SAY THEY PUSH PUSH PUSH TO RUN ILLEAGLE ME I DIDNT HAVE THAT PROBLEM IT WAS JUST THE OPPOSITE THEY GAVE ME 3 DAYS TO DO A 14 HOUR DRIVE FROM DECATUR IL TO NEWBURGH NY TO THE DREDDED C AND S WHOLESALERS... I SENT THEM A MESSAGE BEFORE I EVEN PICKED UP THE LOAD LETTING THEM KNOW MY ETA AND IT WAS ABOUT 26 HOURS BEFORE APPT. TIME.. I ASKED REPEATEDLY WILL THEY TAKE IT EARLY OR CAN THEY RESCHEDULE. NEVER GOT A REPLY LONG STORY SHORT SAT AT THE PILOT FOR ALL MY TIME ---- FOR FREE--- YES FREE THEY ONLY PAY DETENTION 2 HOURS AFTER SCHEDULED APPT TIME. SO I CHALKED IT UP.. NEXT WEEK SAME THING... THIS TIME I WAS PERSISTANT THAT I WOULD NOT TAKE THE LOAD UNLESS THEY CHANGED APPT. THEY SAID THEY WOULD... I GOT TO BROOKVILLE PA AT ONE OF THE VERY FEW FUEL STOPS THEY HAVE AND ASKED THEY SAID THEY WERENT ABLE TO CHANGE IT... SO I DROVE 4 HOURS STRAIGHT TO THE HOUSE AND TOOK 36 HOURS THEN DEL THE LOAD ON TIME THEN PICKED ANOTHER LOAD UP AND WENT BACK HOME FOR ANOTHER 48 HOURS.. I WAS GETTING ABOUT 2000 MILES A WEEK 2300 ON A GOOD WEEK... THEN AFTER 6 WEEKS OF THIS... MY PAST EMPLOYER CALLED ME UP WITH ANOTHER ACCOUNT OPENING.... I TOOK IT.. I SENT A MESSAGE ASKING WHO I SHOULD GIVE MY NOTICE TO AND THEY SAID YOUR DISPATCHER LOL I NFORMED THEN THAT FRIDAY WOULD BE MY LAST DAY AND TO HAVE MY BACK THAT MORNING TO CLEAN OUT THE TRUCK AND HEAD BACK TO PA... IT WAS A MONDAY I SENT THE MESSAGE FIGURING THAT WOULD BE PLENTY NOTICE LOL THEY SENT ME TO IA ON WED DEL. THURS MORNING AND I WAS TO PICK UP A LOAD TO GO TO CHICAGO... NOT BAD RIGHT FIGURING MY NEXT LOAD WOULD BE TO DECATUR.... NOT.... THEY WANTED ME TO PICK UP AND GOT TO DETRIOT I SAID "NO" IFORMED THEM WHY AND TOLD THEM MY DISPATCH NEEDS TO BE TO THE YARD.. SO THEY GAVE ME A LOAD TO PICK UP AND GO TO ONLEY IL DEL AT A WALMART DC 10 AM THEN THEY WOULD HAVE THE PLANNER "YES THE PLANNER" IN THAT AREA GET ME A LOAD BACK AND THAT IT WOULD BE PROBLY IN THE AFTER NOON. SAID NO OF COURSE AND SAID IN A NICE MESSAGE "I DONT WANT TO DO IT BUT IF YOU CANT FIND ME A LOAD TO THE YARD I WILL HAVE TO DEAD HEAD BACK, IM TRYING TO WORK WITH YOU GUYS THE BEST I CAN BUT WHAT PART DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHEN I SAY I HAVE TO BE BACK IN THE MORNING IT IS MY LAST DAY" THAT WAS THE EXACT MESSAGE SENT... THEY THEN REPLIED WITH "THAT WILL BE QUITING UNDER DISPATCH REPORTED ON YOUR DAC" BUT LONG STORY SHORT AFTER MANY MESSAGES THEY SET IT UP TO DROP THE LOAD IN ONE OF THE DROP YARDS.... NOW WAS THAT SO HARD WAS THE LAST MESSAGE.... THEN I STOPPED TO GET FUEL TO FIND THAT THEY HAD SHUT OFF MY FUEL CARD... GOT TO THE YARD TO FIND OUT THAT THEY WERE NOT GIVING ME A RENTAL TO GO HOME... THEY GAVE ME A RENTAL TO GO OUT BUT NOT BACK...... THEY DO NOT REPLY TO MESSAGES, THE PLANNER IS THE ONE THAT SETS UP YOUR NEXT RUN NOT YOUR DISPATCH, FUEL STOPS ARE SLIM TO NONE, DETENTION IS HARD TO GET IF YOU EVEN GET IT, TRUCK REPAIRS MUST HAVE AND APPT. (AT THIER OWN SHOP) HOME TIME CAN BE THERE OR NOT ITS HARD TO SAY. MY BUDDY SAT FOR 34 HOURS ON HIS WEEKEND TO WORK IN IL INSTEAD OF AT HOME.. AND THEN HE NEEDED TO BE IN COURT ON MON. AND THEY KEPT GIVING HIM LOADS THAT DEL ON MON AT THE TIME OF HIS COURT APPEARANCE OR A LOAD TO DEL TUE MORNING IN MAINE. LOL HE HAS PULLED THE 800 GARRENTEE PAY TWICE IN HIS 6 WEEKS THERE NOW WITH IT BEING THANKSGIVING THERE IS NO 800 GAR. HE WORKED 1.5 HOURS TUE. 1.5 HOURS WED. AND GOT HOME THIS MORNING WHAT A WEEK WOW SORRY THIS WAS SO LONG AND FOR THE CAPS BUT NEEDED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT AND NEED TO GET THE POINT ACCROSS

I would of just drove back to the yard and left. I've also heard of guys parking it wherever they are getting on a plane and going home. Calling dispatch telling them where they left the truck. What goes around comes around.
