I think that is a pertinant question, as it has a determining factor on sucess rate. Not all inclusive, because the person leasing makes a huge difference, but still important.

not really pertinent,i had a 2010 prostar with 12,477 miles on it when i got it,,a senior driver got it ran a month and turned irt in and went home,,i got it and drove it about twenty months and put 260k or so on it so whoevers got it now will have a "b" after there number,,but ive seen newer trucks with e or f, on them, and ive seen much older with just an "a", so its really not a good indicator for sucsess, its all about the indavidual circumstances.

Or a problem truck, or a combination of several things.

I know very well that many, and I mean very many, as in a lot, of truck drivers are not capable of operating a truck of their own, or a lease truck. It takes dicipline and a working knowledge of business, combined with common sense. I have ridden team with long time drivers that still needed their hands held driving a company truck.

There are so many things than can put you under, such as your dispatcher/load manager, where you run, quality of truck, how you drive, maintenance, how many things you can do yourself instead of paying to have done, and in many cases, just plain good luck.

I was just curious as the turnover rate on those new trucks, which would give me somewhat of an idea how the new DEF trucks were as far as people wanting to keep them.

My thinking is if a person is happy where they are, are satisfied with the money and their choices, good for them.

My 2012 has 60,2400 miles on it. It was first put in to service on 06/27/2011. The # is L2505A, I am the 2nd driver on this truck. It has averaged 12048 miles over the past 5 months, 3012 a week. If I can match those #'s I think I can make it.

There was 6 people in class, had nineteen trucks to choose from, only 1 was a PETE. Also 1 was a KW the rest were CASC. and PROS. But that was this time, can't say it's always gonna be like that.
