Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Is it with a hand truck
-
No clue they just said road test.
-
Most likely tractor-trailer. I just got on board today. Make sure you do proper pre-trip, in cab (air and instruments) and then a road test. Pretty straight-forward. They make you couple and uncouple. Make sure you turn hazards on and honk before you back-up.
This is what they asked me to do here in Vancouver, so it may not be exactly the same for you.
Good luck!

With the pre trip do I have to do it the same way I would I did to get the cdl. Because I don't remember all the terminology but I know what I'm looking at.
-
I'm also going to assume you pass all that you pretty much have the job?
-
You don't need to be as detailed...Start at front, mention windshield (no cracks, hood, grill, licence plate, etc), open hood (start on one side,go top to bottom; hoses, compressor, oil, filters, etc)checks brakes, check slack, mention brake compents, brake. Remeber to do tug tests once you couple (tractor brakes, trailer brakes, etc).
Go very slow when driving around in their yard. Our posted speed limit here is 5 mph.
I don't know how the screening process is in your state, but I had 2 interviews, road test, then all the background checks (reference, criminal/police, and driver's abstract).
I hope this helps!

Got it they did a phone interview already she said after.the road test ill come in for another interview.
