If there was even a slight chance of a storm hitting the I-70 west of Denver before you could safely cross and you aren't prepared to chain up, you're an idiot for even getting to where you'd be stuck on the road side. Don't leave Denver. It's not hard to get weather reports and forcasts so you can plan your trip, whether you wait out the storm or take a different route.
For example, I left Sparks, NV early in the morning Thursday headed for home because there was a chance of frozen mix that day, but later on in the day.
I always check the weather along my route, I like to see whether I'll be idling when I park for heat or ac or if I'm going to get favorable winds along the way so I can hammer down a bit, lol!
CHAINING...are you ready?

You spell funny!
some of us prefer to use the jakes 90+% of the time...it takes practice and experience with your rig to know the limits of your equipment!alds Thanks this. -
