Ok just finished up my week of Knight orientation. Day 1: Started with handing out Knight Employee books, DOT Safety book, Hazmat book, and Emergency response book. Proceeded to urine test, physical, and hair drug test. Day 2: More slides of Knight info, and all payroll & company paperwork. Day 3: Received driver code & comdata card & assigned a trainer. They cooked meals for us each day, from BBQ ribs, to fried fish, hamburgers & turkies. Overall best orientation experience EVER. I leave out Monday with trainer, will post experience as I have time. I love the equipment, Volvos, International Prostars, and new modeled Peterbilts. Oh and we received shirts & hats on the last day of orientations.

Well I plan to post everyday. I have heard alot of bad things about ALOT of trucking companies, from other disgruntle ex workers. But at the end of the day this is not my first rodeo. I know its different for every individual. The job & company is WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT!! I drove for Swift & had no problems, because I run everywhere & as long as my pay is correct, I have no bad words to say.

grats. knight (squire) is one of the companies on my list that I've been keeping track of since I spoke with one of their recruiters at a job far at the school I'll be going to next month. I think their app is like the longest I've come across so I've been taking my time filling it out lol

I actually walked right into my home terminal, since I live 5 minutes away, and talked to my now driver manager. I did fill it out eventually, and received a pre-hire the very next day.

Ok, second full day out with trainer. He is very good, and very nice, he gave me my own key to the 2011 International Prostar + he drives. And told me to make it my own for the next 21 days. I drive all day, we pull off @ night, shower, eat n relax. This has been a very enjoyable 2 days, he lets me run the trips, do my E-logs, just as I would if I were on my own. He doesnt yell, curse, nothing, just teaches when I need to know something. Heading to bed, post more, sometime this week, headed to Cali.
