This is a rant/question on a few topics. Yes, I am new at this job, so what? Instead of calling me a steering wheel holder, or an amateur when I have trouble blind siding into a spot, how about being the professional you say you are and give me a hand? Thank you to the ones that have in the six months I have been doing this, I really appreciate it. I have always tried to return the favor whenever I see someone struggling to get backed in....we all have our days, new and old alike.

Also, is it too much to ask that you wash your hands after using the restroom? And could you try and actually put your waste in the toilet and not on it? Really. You're over 50, you know where the toilet is right? And how about spending some of the money you make on a shower instead of washing your hair in the sink? If you have actually been running all those miles you say drive, the showers are free with all the fuel you're buying.

Oh yeah, your cool cb with the echo box, 600 watts, stepping all over everyone like you're the Hubble telescope and all that stuff? How about taking that to another channel when you're going to talk for 20 minutes about your trip to the doctor's office last week, or playing your stupid tape about the illuminati, hookers, massages and all the other racist garbage. Some of us actually like to know where the bears are, or would like to let some of you know one of your tires is shredding away, or you have a tailight out and you don't know it....we can't catch you in your " hammer lane truck".

I give the respect I get back, if you want it for your experience:biggrin_25514:, show your professionalism by helping me out when I need it. I'll take the criticism better if it comes with valid points to help me not make more mistakes later. Ok...rant over...for now. Thanks for listening.

Turn the wheel clockwise to make a right turn. However, this all goes out the window for left turns.

Good luck in this business. LOL

Sht when you shower that way you have a clean peaceful break.

Never touch door handles cause no one washes hands

Who gives a sht about bears? Do the speed limit. It's for your own good and others around you like my son and wife when they drive around you.

Who cares about someone elses tires? If they don't pre trip their truck, it's their problem. Their company will pay. Don't worry about it. I ask one time on the cb if they got it on. If not. Sucks to be them.

As for the dummies on the cb. You have a point. But that means nothing. They owe you nothing. No respect will be given to you. get used to it. Cause the trucking industry has become EVERY MAN FOR HIM SELF. Trainers burn rookies, dispatch burns drivers, receivers burn lumpers, receivers burn drivers, shippers burn drivers and lumpers and brokers. etc etc.

You will have a very hard time in this business expecting ANYTHING period! Expect nothing. Act as if your alone on the planet. Then when something does come about, your happy for that little bit. And also act like every one is BSingto you. Act like everyone wants you steal your time and money. Then maybe you have a chance.

This industry is one step away from homelessness for some and one step out of jail for others. The rest in between are far and few and on their way out if things don't change. But there is hope. CSA wiping out idiots one by one. Local agency's are hard at work. Companies that don't pay hire idiots for sweat shop on wheels wages. They get what they pay for. Eventually the drive screws up and costs the company. Eventually the company closes up shop. Drivers who know better refuse to work for free or drive junk due to fear of csa points. So just wait it out. It will clean up....or so I hope it will myself.

I feel your pain. But that's just the way it is.

"Driver"... I agree about not being able to use restroom or being dirty, valid points not just truckers but people in general. Now for the let down, if you are driving the darn truck you should know how to back it in better than you go foward. I have and still will help a driver back if they ask and have a good attitude. Remember you are the person getting paid to operate the equipment not the lady or gentelman you expect to assist you.

it's just common courtesy to help a fellow driver back in if you see he's having a hard time.he/she shouldn't have to ask!
