They are saying you cannot run on paper logs without permission of safety. But that is not the only issue. My driver services has went out to the point nothing is working messages are coming in and I'm not able to read them. Then shutting down and messing my logs up. I have been complaining about this problem all week, called driver services and they told me that I need to get to a terminal to have a new one put in. Told fleet manager and he seems to not care about the situation. I'm really feeling like I'm out here alone with no company support on any issues. They don't answer the phone and he has no real answers for me when I have a problem. Requested a new fleet manager haven't heard from that yet.

Deliver that load then bring the truck in that's what I would do. Since you won't be able to receive any new loads with out it

1st call breakdown and have them put on your screen you need to go to the shop to have the drive tech fixed, thay will understand that,
2nd call safety and tell them you need to be on paper until you can have it fixed....? if you can't get safety until monday then run paper until then, if your fm tells you that you can't run paper tell him/her that until you get the ok to run paper the truck DOESN'T MOVE....!
don't move it until you get the OK remember if you get stopped by dot and you are not running a paper log and the driver tech isn't working who gets the ticket, who gets the oos, who gets the csa points.....? you do..!
if your fm doesn't like it so what... just tell him/her to have the supervisor call you and don't move the truck until you get the ok....! it's time to stand up for yourself remember that you and ONLY YOU can move the truck........ btw be nice when you talk to the superviser just make him/her under that the driver teck isn't working and you need to be on paper logs until you can get it fixed
usx does look at the facebook page BUT not on weekends..... but post it anyway as they will see it monday.....
with that said you can run without the driver tech working we did for 2 1/2 months but you have to run paper logsWedge, Jarhed1964, BettyBoop 2 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thank you. I called breakdown and they were suppose to have sent email to fleet manager. But they still sent message to elog and I had to call in to find out what it was about. I had a load to Kentucky after breakdown sent email to have me routed to the nearest terminal asap. They were suppose to run me to Ohio since Im in Indiana and that is the closes place. But never heard back about the load. So now I'm just sitting here waiting on a load to I don't know where. No way of viewing emails and have tried everything.
I agree with you its time for me to stand up for myself and let them know that Im running this truck. I have only been here three weeks and not to happy right now.
Requested new fleet manager and never heard back from that yet. Have been calling safety all day no answer. So like you advised I will not be moving this truck till Safety gives the go ahead on paper logs. Thank you so much for the advice I really needed that help. -
My weekend dispatcher was suppose to get back with me on the load. I have not heard from him since I called in to check message.
