I think they had too rigid of potty training as children!
-
unless the other truck says Western Express, don't do anything you see these folks do.
-
Are you joking...Western Express would be the last company that I would copy! -
There are a lot of companies I wouldnt copy. As a matter of fact TMC tells their drivers if they need help and no other TMC is there then ask a Maverick driver. Ive had several drivers from different companies tell me their fm said to ask the Maverick driver first before any others. Thats the kind of rep Maverick has developed for doing things right the first time.
-
Just to clarify what I meant by watch the other drivers...I was referring more to getting into and out of a place that you were not familiar with.
My first place to look for help would be my Maverick Manual and then I would call one of my friends...ie sewerman to ask for help. If that failed, I would call the training department.
I only secure to Maverick's specifications. -
From what my hubby says the Galloway is better then on campus. He is there now. Just got back from Thanksgiving break. They sent him home for the week. He is starting his second week with a trainer. His trainer lives in Arkansas and we live in NC so weekends are spent normally in a really nice hotel near his house. It seems Maverick doesn't skimp when it comes to their drivers. So far he loves it and is so glad he went with Maverick. He's hoping to have the keys to his truck by Christmas. Good Luck to all.

Do experienced drivers with no flat bed experience have to go out with a trainer or just load securement training and get assigned a truck?
-
Im not sure, but it used to be experienced drivers just completed the securement training. However I highly recommend a minimum of a week or two with a trainer to get practical real world experience.sewerman Thanks this.
-
I agree, I would perfer to go out with a trainer I think...
