Wal Mart NOT Trucker Friendly

So you just ignore the sign?? No parking means no parking to me. It doesn't matter how well dressed you are. You have to park to go in and get permission. So right there you just said the hell with that sign. I have more respect than that.

You might be clean, but just the presence of your truck in the parking lot invites all the monkey see, monkey do trash drivers. What started as one driver quietly parked off to the side turns into a truck stop by morning.

There have been trucks towed before. There are too many parking alternatives for me to play the roulette parking game at a private shopping center.

Next time you ask for permission, instead of saying "is it okay to park my truck in your parking lot", mention you are staying there for 10 hours and see if you don't get a different answer. Most employees won't inconvenience themselves going out there to tell you to leave. It's not in their job description. Yet there you are.

The No Parking is not from the good drivers, just like with the majority of all the rules out there. All it takes is a few to ruin it for us all.

I have been parked in a WalMart before (with permission) and watched the security guy run other trucks out while I sat there.

I always mention the amount of time I'll be there....Last year I was in Little Rock, AR. and asked the manager of the store I was at if I could park it there for about 3 days while I visited with some friends that lived nearby and he asked me for my phone number in case there was a problem and then gave me the OK.

The employees will never tell you to leave, That's the job of the parking lot security guard and if he's informed by the manager that it's OK for me to be there....That's the end of it.

As I said before, It's not complicated.

You're right....To a point.

But if someone goes in and presents themselves in a positive manner, They might be surprised by the results they get.

well all I know for sure is dont try it at Los Lunas NM , You have 30 mins , in- out , Its not Walmart this time its the city founders, they hate trucks unless they need you. I deliver to the Dist right behind them , Its and industiral area no houses and the have signs NO TRUCK PARKING FOR THE NEXT 2 Square miles and they do mean what they say

 

I am very grateful to my local Wal-Mart for allowing me to park on hometime, or at any other that I may get the chance to park at. I got permission from the manager, and our company calls to verify who we spoke to. I always spend money there anyways, not just when I resupply my truck. They also have us haul freight and to me that means alot. Park where they tell you, be polite and spend some money there. Go back in every once in a while and say thanks, and remind them that you appreciate it that they let you park there.

It cost a million dollars to cover one acre with enough blacktop to park a truck on.

We did a couple of acres two years ago for around $300,000.....

 

The owner of 595 in Miami.....I never priced one myself, it's just what I heard. 300K sounds cheap for two acres.

I know the one in camden De still allows overnight parking on the side of it for FYI.
