I have a 93 volvo with an M11. Recently under load it suddenly began to pour white smoke from the exhaust. So much smoke I thought I had fire going on. The truck still ran fine and had power so I limped it back to the shop. Fluid levels were fine and looked good. Could this be an injector problem even though the truck ran fine?

Sounds like a coolant issue, oil cooler maybe, head gasket????
-
yep if it was white smoke then it has water in it, thats why its white

Injector cup leaking coolant into the cylinder.

I have had a turbo seal do that.
Under boost it released oil in to exhaust.
The smoke was a off white and on a Mack with a garret. -
Yes it could be injector problem

Looks like it is the turbo seal. Thanks for all of your replies. Much appreciated.
