Yes, there is a TA at exit 260 on I 40 near Earle, AR but the TA mgfg mentioned is on I 30 exit 44 near Prescott, AR. This was a fine "old time" truckstop named JJ's, I havent been in since they went to TA but last time I was there (2005??) it was still JJ's, great food, great prices, friendly staff and a huge parking lot, I've always been able to find a parking space there anytime of day.
Take everything you hear about trucking with a grain of salt, a issue that bothers one driver may not bother you.
I drove 20 yrs and enjoyed most of it, good days/bad days. Trucking is not for everyone but many of us have a good time and enjoy the career.
Good luck to you, I hope it works well for you.

    No.

The "truck stop" is a long gone critter in many areas.
Pilot, Loves, and many TA's are no longer "truck stops".
To call them otherwise is silly and shows a lack of knowlege.

They are now "Travel Plazas" that ater to all manner of highway vermin instead of truckers.

Tne OP needs to stop at a real truck stop, with real drivers, sitting in a real restaurant eating off real plates.
    Sit down.
Strike up a conversation instead of acting like the wheel holders who wet their pants when someone speaks to them.

Then ASK someone with a FEW YEARS (5+) on the road about the job.

Information has ALWAYS been given freely for as long as I can remember (since 80's).

Define "real truck stops with real drivers".

Pilot and Loves are not truckstops, they are Only fuel stops. You could buy a cheap handheld C.B., put it on channel 19, and ask if there are any goodbuddies on the Channel that will give you some information ;)

"a real truck stop, with real drivers, sitting in a real restaurant eating off real plates."

It sure ain't a pilot with a freakin Subway.

Might be that some of the AMBEST independents would still qualify.

Found one on I-30 in AR right around the 106 exit last week that was pretty "old school".

I will stop my truck and park. Then I will put food in my body...even if it is a lean sammich. If that makes me a fake, so be it...

Sorry, but I don't refer to truck stops as "travel plazas". Do you say there's a "travel plaza" at exit such and such if someone's asking you directions ? Pilots and Loves ? They sell diesel separate from the 4 wheeler gas pumps, have showers, cash com checks, have truck supplies in their stores, have parking available for trucks, seems like a truck stop to me, just lacking a sit down restaurant. I refer to a small fuel stop, truck stop type operation as a "little truck stop" either with or without a restaurant etc. Any driver knows what kind of truck stop you're refering to if you say a "Pilot" or a "Loves".
