I believe I have read here on the Millis thread that sometimes you get multi-stop loads. What are you delivering and is it alot of "touch" freight on those kind of loads?

It could be anything , normally its more of a multi-stop pickup then delivery but have done both and as far as touch freight knocking on wood here in the 2 yrs with millis the most i have done is counting

I've delivered multi-stops for printed materials mostly. No touch. I don't know of any driver with Millis that has had to unload their trailer. Not saying it hasn't happened, but havent heard of it.

When i started in 04 the drivers were still doing some unloads but for the most part anymore that is done by the lumpers or the receivers as millis doesnt want you getting hurt. Alot of john deere loads are multi stop also.

My Trainer says the only loads he has ever touched was styrofoam cups that were five layers high on the truck. As the forklift driver removed the pallets from the truck he had to remove one layer and start another pallet until it was four stacks high. He said very easy and well compensated. That was one time about 3 years ago.

Yup, far and few between on "touch" freight. We used to have to lay slip sheets on the floor when they loaded us at Indian Head Warehouse in Eau Claire, WI but I haven't seen that load in a long time. Paper rolls are sometimes multi stop/pick up but nobody is handling those except a Clamp Truck..lol
