Seems to me a lot of people have hijacked this forum. I believe it was originally about H & R!!! I am an owner operator signed on with H & R over a year ago. I have zero complaints about this company. I have an o/op attitude that I only drive where I want to and so far haven't been disappointed. I take my time off where and when I want to. Never a problem getting home. They pay weekly as long as your bills are in on time. I have come across a few disgruntled company drivers but mostly seem happy. If I didn't like this company I wouldn't hesitate to pull my truck and sign on with another.:biggrin_25514:

I don't dispute your claim but in all fairness, there will always be somebody in a company that will find fault. Do you have specifics that we can look for or just generalization? Define "jerked around". Was it one instance or ongoing? I have had some negative experiences but they do not paint the picture of the company as a whole and have not tarnished my view of the company.:biggrin_2557:

LOL I drove a shunt truck for them and talked to a lot of their drivers. Consensus is NOBODY MAKES MONEY DRIVING FOR H&R. Go figure.

Way back when we used to call H&R, hungry and ragged or hit and run trucking, the hit and run thing was just a jab thrown out there.
I would quit driving period if I had to work for H&R or any company like them. We used to laugh when people asked what they payed, 2 bits a mile and all the steering wheel you could eat. LOL

A post like this is absolutely useless, unless you clarify your reasons why and what happened.
Otherwise, it just sounds like sour grapes and will be ignored.

I for one, am truly interested in your reasons for your comments, and I am sure there are others. How can we make an intelligent decision without intelligent remarks.

    thanks for clarifying (I hope)

If your a new driver welcome to the industry, H@R has treated me well over the last 2 years. I now have my own truck and average between 10500 @ 12500 per month and never have to worry about my money being put in my account, always on time! You just need to be ready to go when asked, there equipment is never more than 3 years old and for the most part repairs are done asap. Don't take my word for it just do some digging and talk to the owner ops you will get a better idea what they are like to work for..

I have been working for H&R transport now for 2 1/2 years, no company is perfect. However, now my miles have been dropping since June 2011, and when I tried to talk to someone in upper management (Foders, family owners) I got nothing but hostility, I was basically told to take a hike. And for people who see positive reviews please bear in mind the people in management can also join in these forums. I will now tell prospect drivers when I'm asked about the company they would be better off with someone else as I am looking.

Forget about them. They will send you out and sit you, they are the worst life force vampires out there. I give them 18 days and sit 5 without compinsation. I am contemplating just taking the winter off and join another company in the spring.

They were hiring in Europe, I was called to come to their interview and road test in London. Lucky for me, I'm not allowed to leave my country without a visa :/ From what I've heard from other people that went to the road test and all, they are not very well organized and are quite frivolous..
