The dozers clear the land to raise turkeys and build new roads to deliver said turkeys, so you're helping to deliver next years thanksgiving meal.:biggrin_25514:

Yep, a great meal and plenty of football, and a day off in the middle of the week. Hope you and everyone here on the hopper thread had a great thanksgiving too.

I have been somewhat busy up until this week. This week is dead but not unusual for grain hauling at this time of year. The drought we are in might make it worse this winter but who knows.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but have any of you guys and gals ever used hoploads.com or bulkloads.com? Good or bad experiences? Any feedback is appreciated.

They have some loads but IMO they are rather cheap. The old adage applies- the best loads are never listed.

Hoploads has better/more loads, but, monthly cost is about $20 more. Bulkloads has all the other website hooplah like forums, classifieds, jobs, news, and so on.

Dang WH,i wish i could send ya'll some of our rain,we can't get 3 days in a row without rain,it's gett'in purty messy around here, some of the farmers i haul for that have late planted corn have not been able to get into the fields to finish for 3 weeks:biggrin_25513:,looks like it's gona take a hard freeze for 'em to finish up harvest. I'd say that there is still 15-20% of the corn still standing in central Ky.

BulletproofPete,i've been subscribed to hoploads for 4 1/2 years or so,but like WH said, both sites offer a lot of cheap freight IMHO,but i stay fairly close to home,so i don't use them very often, but did make some decent contacts in times past from loads i called about. They are both like all other load boards though,it's ''who'' ya know, not ''what'' ya know that dictates ''good'' paying rates,my problem seems to be that i just don't know enough of the ''right people'':biggrin_2559:. Bulkloads is probably a little more user-friendly,and less expensive. Maybe Highside will drop in later on this week and reveal his ''secret to success'':biggrin_25514:,he must know all the ''right people'':biggrin_25522:

    Anyway,Welcome to the hopper thread:biggrin_25525:!
