Actually...it is the fact that so many companies are charging and collecting detention pay for the unnecessary delay of the equipment and drivers. The shippers/recievers are paying attention to their cost factors with the freight.
The EOBR's came in after this was starting to happen...the EOBR's could help as it accurately tracks time and location of the rig...thus proving the delay was the direct fault of the shipper/receiver.
Why CSA 2010 and E-Logs are a good thing.

I shoot a little skip on the CB and I don't need to be in a pack of traffic to do it.
As far as my riding. First of all, my lack of a helmet or leathers does not make me a safer driver to OTHERS on the road. Just like wearing a seat belt. It does not make me safer to others on the road. These types of things are to keep me safe in the event of an accident and do nothing else. You will note that I am wearing protective eye wear though. This keeps my vision clear along with keeping stuff out of my eyes so that I can pay more attention to the road ahead of me.
As far as my riding with one hand. When I took a motorcycle safety class, back in the early 80s, we had to ride 1 handed weaving through cones and doing panic turns. This is not distracted driving.volvodriver01 Thanks this. -
Oh I was riding at the time. I was north bound on ND highway 18 with a buddy at the time. My buddy took the picture without me knowing it and sent it too me that night.
Below is a pic my daughter took when the fam passed me one day headed to a get together.
Also a picture of my brother on his scoot.
Well for some reason it won't let me upload the other pic.Attached Files:

I would think that Gunther would clean up his act. I can't believe that a company of his size would have had 190 inspections. It sounds like they have been after him for a while. I would think that it would be cheaper to fix his equipment than continue getting fines.

The article doesn't say...but were they offered the EOBR "option" to continue business as far as HOS violations...or was this more based on the maintenance violations over the HOS?
-
go to the FMCSA website they have a pretty in depth article on this,I posted their scores earlier,,unbelievable in the 90's and 100,,sad thing is this has been going on since 08,3 years to clean up their act and they stub their noses at the DOT and they thought they would get away with itotherhalftw Thanks this.

Not sure this is the best thread to post this but here it goes:
We need to hear from you!

Thank you for your time! -
That survey was a joke . Trying to blame EOBR's for making drivers drive because they have available hours is an example . Those carriers did that before EOBR's came along as well as the other items mentioned .ECU51 and otherhalftw Thank this.
