Hi everybody, Im Cam, or Driftjunke because it represents my love of racing sports. I am a college student in welding about to finish, but the welding opportunities in Michigan are a bit slim. Ive driven everything I can get my hands on since I was 13, including forklifts, plowtrucks, a water tanker, fire trucks, a dumpster winch truck and a 61ton CAT 773D at a steel mill. Ive raced a couple Hondas, Porsche 944, Nissan Maxima, and a wheeled a couple Jeeps in my 24 yrs.

I am also a NRA certified CCW holder, a motorsickle rider, a Republican, a god-fearing man, a singer of country music in the shower, and a fan of Tony Stewart! Let the flaming begin :biggrin_25522:

Ive been creeping on this forum for awhile, it helped me do my research on companies and the trucking industry. I thank all of you that type in complete English sentences, and have an honest and truthful opinion of your companies and experiences. I decided to apply to Frozen Foods Express, and have been accepted to their training school.

So Im just saying HI, and thank you. I love the forum so far, and Ill be here for awhile, now just roaming the official way!

Welcome driftjunkie! Have you ever thought about being a tankee or pipefitter since you have a welding certificate.

I worked at Pittsburg Tank and Tower a long time ago. You can make alot more there than trucking. They are always hiring.

Hey CondoCruiser, I have looked at out-of-state work, but that would require me to pick up and move permanently. I think trucking will enable me to travel, but still be able to keep my hometown where my family has always been. Im gonna try this "trucker thing", and hopefully welding can be a good backup plan :)

Thanks for the welcome btw, you fellas are a friendly group for the most part!
