Last night I watched a guy back into a tight spot at San Antonio Coca-Cola (if you've been there, it was dock 1 next to the shipping/receiving office) with a 57 foot trailer. That massive ### overhang is something I can live without!

Its been a couple yrs can't remember the name of the place but the sheet rock mfr in Cumberland City TN I think that's right (just outta Nashville). 90* back and take your time! If you're ####y or too proud you'll be replacing some marker lights or DOT tape. I got off cheap with tape once it was pouring the rain and sugar melts so I didn't get out and look.
got loaded walked round the trailer and the pass side rub rail was nice n shinny except for bout a foot at the front. Lol after that I always look.

As far as backing at a TS. I especially take my time but I'm the gdmfsob that you don't wanna criticize my method unless you've already parked in a safe place. Best example was at the pilot in carilse Pa. If you've been there you know its a tight fit. I was exercising my GOAL techniques 1 day. Took about 7 looks before I was in the lines (bad day lol) I was just about to straighten up and finish when sum1 guess in 1 of the 4 trucks that were waiting on me to get out te way came over the CB criticizing my caution. Lol call me and ***hole but that #### don't float with me. I proceeded to back up get out pull up look back up look about 20 more times!! As the other driver was getting hotter and hotter lol Finally an older driver in the spot beside me came over the CB " if you'd shut up hed probably get out your way! He's had it for 30 minutes but you won't shut up!" no1 said a word lol. I pulled up backed in and it was over. The old driver came back on the CB and told the other driver I'd beat him at his own game trying to bully a young driver into a mistake. And hed rather have some1 "rookie" it and take 30 minutes to hit a hole than rip his bumper off.

Those guys are such d####s. SA coca-cola, that is.
Not sure if they've changed anything since I've been there. But the walk from the parking area, to check in....was pure hell in the pouring rain. -
Nope. Nevermind. Not worth it.
Heh... -
Nope, you still got to walk. I don't mind the walk, I can use the exercise but the fact you have to walk down that narrow drive with nothing to protect you from those two yard dogs hauling trailers at 20mph (5 mph yard limit) seemed kind of hazardous. I guess Coke doesn't mind risking a big lawsuit if somebody gets hit.
Then to top it off the front gate guy got pissy with me because I parked too far forward at the front gate to sign out. When I came in, all he said was to park where my trailer doors were still under the canopy, which I did. He didn't say how far, just have the rear of the trailer under. I didn't say anything, just glad to be out of there. -
Awww...come on. It'll be worth it. Don't leave us in suspense - go for it.
-
Okay, it just that this:
Sounds oddly familiar:
I know I'm probably not the only one to mess with hecklers, but, well, what would you guys think?
Just sayin. -
There isn't a TA in Murfreesboro, TN. You are probably thinking about the one in Antioch, TN, which is about 30 miles west of Murfreesboro just east of Nashville.

I'd read that post before. I remember it was yours.
