Well...I didn't mean to start WWIII. You guys chill out a bit . You both are correct.
Danfromwindsor, yes, I was inquiring about Maverick trucks.
Dadof3, I know that you told me that your experience was with Prime. But when I asked you what year trucks they were, I forgot that and I was thinking (in my head) Maverick trucks. However, now that I think of it I guess it doesn't matter who owned the truck, as long as it was the same manufacturer and FLR system that Maverick uses.
I thank both of you guys for your time and responses to my questions.
On another note, everyone be careful out there. First measurable snow of the year up here. Roads are a mess, four wheelers all over the road and off the road, a few big trucks jack knifed near Jackson tonight. Everyone is in my thoughts are prayers. God bless

Have you guys had the new ECM update yet? I got a 2011 truck and the first time they put the ECM update in my truck in Laurinburg (or they thought they did) it screwed my MPG and MPH alllllllllll up. I went from getting 7.4 MPG to getting barely 5.5 MPG and my truck would barely do 63 mph. I would be going uphill EMPTY and it would barely do 61. I'm not talking about a hill or should I say mountain like say "fancy gap". Just a normal incline would drag this thing down. Well my Ongard quit working and I hit a deer going to Mt. Vernon to drop a load of lumber at a Lowes. From there they bounced me to Madison to see if they could correct my problem. The mechanics there said that there was something majorly wrong with my truck and they couldn't put the ECM update in my truck nor could they put it back to the old settings. They said I would have to go to the NLR shop and let them fix it. I was like great another week or so of getting poor fuel mileage. I tried going slower to see if that would work. Wrong, the slower I went the worse my MPG got. I finally made it to the rock and was down for two days, but they took my truck over to Freightliner and they wrote a whole new program to put in my truck. I was the guinea pig for the new program I guess. I don't know what kinda program they wrote, but my truck is doing great. I am at 68 MPH now and getting 7.8 MPG. It will finally climb a hill loaded. I talked to another driver today that was there getting the same software downloaded in his truck last night after I got mine back and he said his was doing 68 and getting great fuel mileage also. One thing they told him and I is that for the first 50 miles or so "baby it". That's what I did. I ran 58-60 mph for the first 60 miles then after that, I eased more into it. The first 10 miles after that it would only do 62. However, by mile 200 or so, I was at 68.

Got a call from my recruiter today. He's gonna go ahead and start to process my application. We had agreed to hold off at first because I 'm not going to be able to start till after the first of the year.
I'm sure everything will check out well. So we'll see.....kinda nervous and I don't really know why...just really excited I guess
Hope all is well with everyone out there! Stay safe -

Good luck also! They have done right by me as long as I have been here. As Dan pointed out; so long as you don't mind working you will do fine.

Got some bad news from Mav this week. I can't start back until June.
My fault though and I will take the blame. I got a speeding ticket in my personal vehicle back in August. At the same time I got a seatbelt violation too. Long story, but they got me for 17 over. I have to wait a year after the ticket before Maverick can rehire me.
I guess I'll have to stick it out where I am.
I have a buddy who drives for Maverick who has an 012 truck. He was in Madison and they put that new program in it. He was stuck at 63. While we were on the phone it went to 64, 65 and all the way to 68. He said it pulls much much better now. Maybe they are getting the programs dialed in. -
Firebird was that your only ticket in last three years? Sounds odd that they wont rehire due to one incident. Maybe CSA has something to do with that? Before that wasnt an issue.
