I have been driving a day cab for a foodservice company now for 12 years. Starting next week they will be putting us in 2012 cascadia sleepers. I am only out one or two nights at a time driving mainley throughout Massachusetts and new Hampshire. My question are 1. where is the best spot to mount the CB? 2. I see the coaxial cable but how do I power the tv? 3. my company will not allow us to idle the trucks in the winter because there are bunk heaters?

    1. There should be a built in area for your cb though a lot of guys like to mount on dash.
    2. Get an inverter?

    3. Bunk heaters can heat the bunk up pretty hot and run off minimal battery power. If I run my bunk heater at half power when it's over 25 degrees out it gets too warm in there.

the cascadia cb location is in the compartment above the drivers head. when i drove one, the thing that irritated me the most is that only small Cbs would fit in the hole. no exports. someone needs to make a replacement panel for the cascadia, and they would become rich lol

Our Cascadia's have a plate mounted on the dash for the CB radio. Personally I prefer the radio on the dash as opposed to being over head.

FWIW, if you have the antenna's on the side of the sleeper set up, you will probably want to switch to a different antenna system.
