Greetings, Well I am fresh off about 8 days off from the Holiday. I needed that time off bad. I ended up having to get two professional massages to get the stiffness out of my back. All the bouncing and banging of the crap roads of Ohio and PA. Really take a toll. It also never fails something breaks using the tp in those states. Ffs the ash tray literally broke from the mounts. I get organized and ready to roll on Tuesday as Monday I did a thorough detail inside my truck. I still want to shampoo my carpets but too cold for that now.
I get a dispatch Tuesday afternoon for a 7am pick up in Rockmart, Ga. Amazing they were aware I would be ready on Tuesday but did not get a dispatch tell 1400 that afternoon. So it goes to mass but no delivery appointment set. Being that I did not pick up my trailer and roll to shipper tell wed early am I was not going to make delivery tell Friday. Thursday afternoon I still do not hear anything about appt schedule and send qc, its 2300. Wow, I could of been there Friday am before 10am. So I split the miles left and stop on carlisle. Iask about a preplan at 1400 Friday and was answered working on it. I start to roll out for my appointment at 1600 and at 1800 before my terminal closes I get a qc message. I stop later down the road and see its a preplan babysitter load. Well I get to shipper and am tired and not good with rolling after delivery since I been up at 6am. I sleep at shipper and leave after reset. I get this trailer and was told per QC GET THIS LOAD SO SOMEONE ELSE CAN TAKE IT OFF ME, ya right, so here I sit with a loaded trailer and only 50 miles total and does not deliver tell 0900 Monday am. This company is making more money taking this 50 mile load and using it as a cold storage instead of driving and I am the ####### that gets stuck with it. I follow up with my terminal if I could at least take it closer to delivery point and was denied. I follow up at 1700 and ask status and they say no sorry. So that being said Not a suprise at all, not a suprise I just came off hometime again and
Another babysitter loads coming off home time.
This is why I can't make money here. I just had 8 days off and now only 1000 miles this week and going to be Sunday.
In a few months I will have my year, I will be out of here.

It is difficult for most carriers to get anything decent out of Massachusetts. If you do get something with a decent rate it often stays in New England. Many carriers find it easier to simply avoid New England.

The guy he swapped trailers with got a preplan out of PA and that is why he had to swap. I don't understand why thy couldn't of given him the load out of PA and let the other guy keep his load. Seems really odd to me.

Ya that guy had load from marietta, pa to Atlanta. I am 37 miles away from delivery.

Greetings everyone, So I was able to get a great load out of mass all the way to Boise. I arrived Friday and dropped off about 3 hours after I recieved a preplan for Sunday am pick up and two stop load. I just sat the past weekend. I pesonally did not feel like sitting more than I already have. So I get my dispatch Sunday am and head to Tomah, Wi for delivery wed evening 1930. A little more time than needed but understand due to winter weather. I came up with over 1748 miles driven and 1711 per internet and Gps but for some reason I am only paid for 1611 miles not including second stop to Stevens point, wi about another 90 miles away. So I challenge you guys to see what you come up with. They do not match, I do not agree to those miles even using given routing. I also inquired since I had to sit over 24 hours waiting from empty to my next loaded or next appointment time, I do not get compensated for that either. So I lose over 100 miles even giving them a 50 miles difference.
So I wish some of you who work at this same outfit would post because they have similar issues but are afraid of repercussions. They can't take away much more and it will never get fixed if we don't collectively come together and stand up for each other. Last week 1000 miles and 350 pay check only because tuition was reimbursed. Otherwise it would of been another 275 pay check. Mark my words from now on no more babysit loads. They pay less than minimum wage, How is that legal? I do not work on tips. I have done enough sitting and waiting just to get a dispatch in a timely fashion. So let me clarify, I dropped my load 1st stop at 1630 appt was set for 1930 still did not get out of there tell 2330 at tomah walmart and 2nd drop was at 0630 and was empty by 0730, got a dispatch for tomorrow, friday 0900 so that means losing all day today to drive and lost most of wed too because it was a two stop load. I cant win for losing here. Every time I am able to get a good week, 3 crap ones happen in a row. I am done waisting my time and money here. The only consistency is you can not afford to work unless you like making what you can with a minimum wage job. I have a friend who works for swift and gets more consistent miles. He actually has 100k for the year. Anyone else reach that? This week is 2600 miles from Kearney, nj to Boise and the babysit load 2 days less than 30 miles. This is not a fluke, this is wrong. My end is near, I cant afford to stay here. Not when i know other guys in other companies are getting steady miles and pay. Even my contact who is a senior veteran out of brooks is ready to leave. just thought i would throw that in there.
After I unloaded friday and did not pick up tell sunday, there is no compensation for sitting then either, anyone starting to see the pattern yet? -
100k for 12 months? That's only 2080 per week!
If you're not doing that....better find a different color to drive! -
Not here, I average 2100 at best. My pay stubs don't lie.

Riddle me this, I got a qc message stating my edits on my qc are out of control, such as sitting at walmart dc in Tomah waiting to unload and should of went into sleeper instead of off duty because walmart takes over 5 hours to unload and I run out of hours before I can get to next truck stop.
But sitting 5 days total out of 15 available to drive isn't out of control?
