Well thanks all, for the reply's. I think I got the jist now. Kind of what I was expecting but wanted to make sure.

I see from time to time in a poster's profile next to the "Trucker?" entry that says EX-1 year or what ever. What does that mean? You have been out of trucking for * years?

I read these posts and found them to be amusing. I know that the dog that barks the loudest is a bonehead...lol...
. So now my question is what do you call your above average professional truck driver?

Keep us with humor here, helps in between breaks of studing.
Now think I will have something to eat since I have been here studing all day. Lot of good information but some what disappointed in so many bad companies.

Good luck to you in school Maggie, just graduated last week and waiting for my OTR trainer.

Just a guy or gal doing their job, being consistant on a daily basis with meeting schedules and exhibiting good driving practices! We are the "Unsung Heroes' of the road!! ha ha

In my case I drove for a year or so before joining the military, but I just changed it because if you count the time driving in the Army I never really stopped. I'll pick it back up when I retire and can get back in a commercial truck.
