yep,,you bet you can,,my saga notwithstanding,,i made great money there for most of my time there,,,keep a close track on your fuel and maintenance expenses and try to to stay above 2800mpw and you'll do fine there.

the best way to pick out a truck is to decide what order you want before you arrive at orientation,,,,you can pretty much count on a cascadia or prostar,,,so now decide wich one,,,then decide on age/mileage you most want,,,dont let things like color or trim level decide your profit margin,,,,then prioritize your wish list on those choices,,i.e..super singles or duals,,apu or not, etc, etc,, then when they give you the list in the classroom just before you go out to select one,,go down the list and number the ones that most fit your parameters and head straight for those units,,,do a fairly brief but thorough visual check and pick one,,it aint perfect way but at least before you are out in the pen you'll have some idea which unit numbers to head for first. just my .02 cents worth,,,good luck and happy hunting!

Hello to all and hope all had a Happy Thanksgiving. Well, started trucking on Sat. 11/26. Have done 4,537 miles in 10 days with 1 34 hr reset and used 590 gals of fuel. That calculates to 7.6 mpg I think. Been drivin her wide open (won't say how wide open) to make my deliveries on time. Load to Oklahoma from N.C. couldn't be made on time so let Keith know and load was repowered in Fort Smith, Ok. So far my travel agent has sent me from Sapulpa, Ok to Winchester, VA to Lewiston, NC to Fort Smith, Ar to Russellville, Ar to Pleasant Grove, Ca. Got delayed on I 40 near Albuquerge, NM when they closed the road due to weather and some nasty wrecks. She pulls ok up the hills, only had to down shift to 9th a few times, twice had to pulled 8th. I am very surprised at the fuel mileage but the #'s don't lie. Anyway thats my story and I'm stickin to it. Hey wadda ya get when a Yankee lives in Fla. for 5 yrs?
