You can use the manifolds to reheat things as well. Most everything that comes in a can (now that they're not TIN) can be cooked or heated in the can. :biggrin_25525:

Two vent holes in the top and yer good to go. I used to use bailing wire to secure them ... still lost a couple here and there. :yes2557:

But try this ... one can of beef stew mixed with one can of roast beef hash. Total beefy heaven.

As a warning ... should be self evident ... those cans will be hot when your ready to eat. :biggrin_2551:

I worked at a cemetery and the tractor operators wrapped burritos in foil and heated them on the manifolds and they good.

This stove is great! Just plug into cigarette lighter and you can have a delicious warm meal in one hr or less.

At end of every driving day I cook, and prepare raw vegetable salads, and sandwiches for next driving day. So don't have to stop to eat.

I like the idea to use a tiny charcoal grill, but out side the truck to avoid any unwanted incident.

Unfortunately just being outside of your truck at certain truck stops invites unwanted incidents.:biggrin_2555:

That's why I don't spend a lot of time at the Day Care errrr truck stops..

When I take out my charcoal cooker it does attract attention... :biggrin_255:

Apparently not many truckers have ever seen a Big Green Egg. :biggrin_25512:

The XLG is on my front porch at home along with a Large EGG and a small one.

I have a mini in the truck.. I just wouldn't be the Celtic Wolf if I didn't have one of my EGGs with me..

Not only that but also cooking outside truck in the winter.... :biggrin_25512: Sometimes it's hard to keep windows open when I use my propane gas burner to cook (specially when it's raining or too cold or snowing)...
