Did they also tell you that they let drivers of 17 years fail inspections and drive down the safety rating? One guy failed 7 DOT inspections.

Meanwhile, we get inspected for tires that have 5/32 and can't get a decent load from a broker.

Why don't you come back after you have to replace a rear-end at X-mas on your own money, in Idaho.

I bet you've been here 3 months. You have much to learn. BTW, we get 76%

    1. Kind of confused about the load board, spoke with some malone drivers and some said they use 100% of the load board and some say 50% board 50% dispatch. If we choose loads why would you call dispatch or agent?

Some of us are assigned to agents. If business is good, we have loads. If not, we call brokers. Those of us assigned to agents do not have company dispatchers.

Best Malone loads are usually over-sized through agents. "System trucks" rarely get these loads.

I try to keep to Malone board, but I have a back-up. Our last dispatcher was worthless. I found our loads for two years.

My father was booked for 3 months. I can't book for a week. I call agents and brokers to find the BEST load.

From what I gathered, they used to have unrestricted fuel cards, but had problems with drivers selling fuel.

CRST has their loads on the CRST load board. If you can't find anything there, you can go through any other broker or load board out there, whether it's the load boards you see at truck stops, Internet Truck Stop, load boards for another company (such as Landstar), etc.

    THIS!

This is Basic Trucking 101. You can have a
fuel card. You can even have advances for fuel. They cost 4 dollars for every advance.

So much better to use your own money for fuel.

TA gives money back, if you are with CRST. It's like 50 bucks. Then you have to pay fuel taxes.

I'm guessing IFTA is a strange term for you.

Google trucking, highway tax, 2290 and IFTA.

We have ComData cards. Paychecks are put on ComData. How much goes home is up to the driver. It's pretty standard. You don't know much about this business.

First, shove it. Second, what the hell does that have to do with anything I've said? I ran for a fleet owner leased onto Malone. How you get paid is irrelevant to me, since my pay was direct deposited into my account. Furthermore, I was simply quoting what we were told at orientation regarding the fuel card policies. Third, just because I don't and haven't owned an OTR truck, don't think I haven't been in business for myself. I've owned trucks pulling end dump trailers, and I've had to keep track of the same things you do (with the exception of having a single state fuel tax sticker, rather than IFTA), I've had to keep my trucks loaded, I've brokered other trucks, I did my own maintenance, and I did it while keeping a full time job with a road construction outfit and attending classes. Think you're up to that challenge?
