My headset is voice command and works with the voice command on the phone. The phone is not even close. It can be 30 foot away. Hit the button on the headset. Say the number or tell it to call Tom or Jim.

josh.c, lonewolf4ad and Injun Thank this. -
The issue will be over. You can not drive and be in the back at the sane time. The officer will just say sorry and let you go with out looking at your phone ( we hope.) This happened to me in Michigan on I 94.Last edited: Dec 6, 2011

Bill, they have rules and procedures to follow. You are under no obligation to give them your cell phone. They'll catch the perpetrator eventually. I could spend hours posting up links of police overstepping the bounds and abusing innocent citizens. Police just don't like it when citizens have the nerve to put them in their place because it takes time and many of them get their kicks tell citizens to jump and how high. http://www.prisonplanet.com/texas-activists-arrested-for-noncompliance-of-unlawful-orders.html The Bill of rights restrains them, not you. It's not being a bad citizen standing up for your rights.

Thank you for posting the 3rd video. It's worth the time to watch it, pay attention and take notes. -
I'll let everyone know what happens when/if they ask for mine......cause I'm going to refuse consent.

Let them ask for it..... Where doesit say you have to give it to them ? Password lock works great.

They do the same thing at the airport when they scan your laptop. They put a CD in the drive, boot from the CD, and scan your hard drives without ever booting up the main OS. -
Never, never, NEVER hand your cell phone to a Law Enforcememt Officer. NEVER !
Several states have software that will download ALL the info in it to their system. It'll check to see where you called, when you used it, and how fast you were traveling. If you used it in a school zone, a construction zone, if it conflicts with your logbook, if it shows your average speed from point A to point B is too high, they WILL follow up with an investigation and citations. If you handed your phone to them- you unknowingly just gave them permission to do this. I have refused to do it, no one has ever asked twice. "Just say NO" and don't back down. -
