Ours have low pro 22's to match our trucks. My theory is less weight and slightly cheaper to replace. They have ag traps, so clearance isn't an issue.

    Nice bumper, btw.:yes2557:

Thanks, I'm a pic ##### looking for any opportunity to post a pic of my ride. :-D Yeah a deer took out the original plastic one in WVA one night. Got very lucky on that one cause he smacked right square into the end of the frame rail on the driver's side. No grill, hood, or (luckily) radiator damage at all but it did knock out a fog light. I never used them anyways so I never have bought a replacement. I did get the holes in the bumper for those lamps though. For the life of me I don't know how that fog light missed the steer and/or 16 other drive/trailer tires but it did... Had to drive it around smelling like dear meat for a couple of days til I could get it washed off.. Found some deer jerky under there the next few times I greased it lol.

Had to bring us back up on the main page. I have had my truck in the shop since Tuesday and then got sick with the flu on Thursday afternoon so I am on the down hill slide today and will be back trucking tomorrow. Looks like rain on Wednesday so I will probably be shut down again.

    Wheathauler you get some work?

How tall are your trailers RW? Is their different door sizes on the ag hoppers? I thought I had a driver tell me once he had ag hoppers with the larger doors.

No, pretty dead around here. Thought about going further out but it's hard to find something back. I'll make it to wheat harvest hopefully we have a good one.

66" sides. Ours have the standard doors that I see on most hoppers with ag hoppers. I'm not sure about the door sizes you can get with those, although it would make sense, to recover some of the volume you lose by having high clearance traps. I know the last Wilson brochure I looked at, you can get them built a lot of different ways, so it might be available that way?

Why do guys feel the need to cheat an account when they are being treated fair?

An account we do some good work for will call us when a regular guy can't cover a load. We haven't looked to take the business becuase the guy is charging $1.55/mile (rate he gave, she pays us well). But today she gave me his "total" rate on a load.

Turns out he is bumping the miles up. This load was at $1.90/mile (she pays RT miles so OK with half MT miles) on actual miles. Told her with brokerage business starting up we may be able to cover more loads at that rate and fax over list of loads and what she is paying.

EVERY SINGLE LOAD IS BEING BILLED AT $1.90/MILE, he is just adding miles to get to that rate.

Regular hopper work is not that easy to come by. Why would he cheat the only account he has?

I don't know, $1.55 for roundtrip miles isn't very good. I'm curious why the business wouldn't know how many miles to his destination and back. They usually know the miles pretty well.

No it isn't, that is why we don't touch it unless we can find something on the return or when she is in a bind she will pay our rate.

But that is the rate that HE qouted.

Trust - When he started he turned in google map miles with routing and no map. So that is what they use. He says "practicle truck miles". That is why I think this is so crazy. Violating a trust like this.

Funny thing was I meet him at the account once and he was worried that I was going to try and take loads from him. Told him I couldn't come close to his rate and not to worry. He called me a month ago checking again when he found out we would be brokering hopper loads. Told him I have not interest in doing that to him. We will broker what he can't cover. Plenty of business to go around.

Now I don't know. Even if he was playing it straight I'm under no obligation to not try and take the business from him. But pleny to go around and I'm of the mind to help independent O/O's and not take from them.

But when they are cheating a good account I am feeling more of an obligation to the account that has been very fair to me for almost a year now.

Tough call. The account pays the bills so they will ultimately have to decide who hauls the loads.
