Just so you know, if the low voltage disconnect kicks in (ie bat drops below 12 vlts) the alarm clock on the QC won't go off.

Well thats good to know, most of the time I just use my cell phone, but thats good to keep in mind about your qcomm if you have to idle the truck.

Tennman is correct here, if your experienced, they will send you out with one of their drivers and he will show you the ropes of the company, then you come in for a week long orientation, thats alittle more indepth of rules and regulations, and you finally upgrade to your own truck....

...and as the trucking industry goes...CSA is going to make it harder and harder for us each day.

Back then it was not an $800 bonus. You didn't get raises or truck upgrades unless you got them. I was getting 1 every month, 1 per quarter and one every year. They were worth around $4000 to $5000 extra a year.

Well last day.... that i thought...will explain later.

Today is graduation day, we met finally with some of the company heads, ie Operations managers, dispatchers, directors of safety. We finished up on paperwork, we also watched a benefits video on all the company has to offer, and was given our dispatcher information.

Since I am running out of Lebanon, TN, I have Tye. We got out of graduation about three pm and it should have been about noon, and Tye informed me that my truck was in Evergreen, AL at a former OC that Schneider had. This was cool with me cause I will be given a rental car, and boogie on down there and get my truck, now after years of driving an Automatic, and stressing about having to drive a ten speed, and working hard to pass my test, Tye informs me that my truck will be an Autoshift! Sweet, this makes me stoked. So I walk in and tell my trainer, and he said "WAIT" now you have to take a 4 hour course on that! You have got to be kidding me. I have to take a class on driving an autoshift? So im booked back into the motel again another night to get up and take a road test, watch a movie, and do a test on an autoshift truck tomorrow, then hopefully I am given a rental car, and headed out for the drive to get my tractor.

So I guess ill get some shut eye and be headed out tomorrow evening.

BamaTrucker...were you experienced when you got to SNI? I have three years in, and was wondering about maybe having to go out with a trainer or not? My recruiter didn't tell me and I forgot to ask until now. I go to ATL on Sunday to start my orientation.
