I know GA used to have. You have to give the right of way to anyone coming down the ramp if it was safe. But, when I lived there, I used to watch them get to the bottom of the ramp and stop. Put their left blinker on and watch for an entry into the traffic.

In most states when entering a highway you are suppose to be up to speed. A lot of the general public doesn't know this.

I was riding with my mother one day (she has the biggest road rage of anyone I know) and she started cussing out a truck driver for not getting over.

I looked at the speedometer and explained to her that she is suppose to be up to speed not doing only 40 mph. She asked why? LOL I said so you don't get ran over, you are suppose to start looking at the highway when you get on the ramp so you can see if you are going to have to speed up or slow down to fit into the flow of traffic. After explaining all this to her she was more understanding that big trucks were NOT required to move, that we do it if we can. If more people had a simple lesson like this it would make us professionals like 4 wheelers more!

She still has her road rage but after riding with me and me explaining things that wasn't taught to her many years ago.....she has become a better driver. Well except for running into the jersey wall....

It's a law in the Missouri drivers hand book (the first license the F for cars!)

In Ga. if a GHP sees you from the GA/TN line on I-75down to Marietta they will ticket you for moving to the left to allow someone on at a ramp!

I hope that DAC Fix after charging you that much got it fixed! You could have done the exact same thing they did for what $150.00 cheaper!

 

The use of cellphones has not improved the driving public skills. Here in New Mexico "The Merge" is a lost skill. Completely. People merging just don't get it....the merging driver is to yield right of way. How about Phoenix? Those snowbirds are a menace to society.
