Knight Orientation/Memphis Terminal

Well, I'm now in my second week of training. We've driven in the snow from AZ to TX, so I feel comfortable about that aspect. Now our truck is in the international (Roberts) shop in Amarillo. NEVER TAKE YOUR TRUCK HERE!! They are the slowest mechanics in the world, we walked into a room full of truck drivers complaining about being there since Sunday. They just left with their trucks on Wednesday. We had the only cummins mechanic look at our truck yesterday, got a hotel room, called this morning and he doesn't come in until 1:00pm today. So had to get the room again tonight. We will probably be here till Friday at the earliest. But our room is AWESOME, the 5th season in Amarillo, TX is great. I just hope we get out soon, I'm ready to go solo.

 

OK last week was crazy and this week just got crazier. My truck is waiting for me at my terminal, but now i'm snowed in at Ext 218 on I 40 East. Don't know when we will be leaving now, hopefully soon. I'm done with training, now just need to make it back to Memphis. It has been an adventure, and a great learning experience. We've been all over the west coast, now back to the terminal. I'm ready to go solo, very good training has prepared me for almost all scenarios. Will post again once I receive my truck.
