Could be worse. Could have sold out to Loves.
The independent trucks stop is a thing of the past.
All that are left are former independents and those that WILL be former independents.

While everyone laments the death of mom and pop truck stops and even mom and pop trucking companies, we should remember that no-one twisted their arm to make them sell out to the big companies. You can say the big places have an unfair advantage in the marketplace, but if the small place had been that unprofitable, the big chains wouldn't have wanted to buy them.

Yeah tell that 2 all the local stores across this great land that got shutout

By big box store like walmart, target, lowes, homedepot,

And all there chinese #### crap worthless poisionus goods

Sam walton had a vision made by americans sold too americans

And the kids sold there souls too the motherloving devil

And traded american jobs and quality for poison

And the big box industry was born

Truckstop ended because of bigg truk companies

Excluding them outta of them market plain an simple

The trucking industry drove them out period.

    2fuzy and rjones56 Thank this.

It's called competition and free market conditions.
The opposite of that gave us Amtrak.
