The last 24 hours have been an experiment in patience for me. I relayed a load out of Dallas to another driver in Ardmore, OK last night. I show up and he has no mt trailer. Told to go to Dollar General for an mt but they have none. So back to the Flying J for the night. At least they have a Huddle House for a great diner meal.

Told they'd have an mt for me by end of my 10 hr break at 0300. Get up at 0200, send message and receive response that I have to wait for load planners at 0700. Go back to bed, up at 0700 to send another message. At 0800 told to go to DG again because they've arranged to have a mt released to me. Great, start doing my pretrip only to find I have a flat on an inside drive tire! 4.5 hours at Love's to get tire replace, which they put an XT which is a trailer tire on...argh!

Finally on the road to pick up mt and get to my shpr 3.5 hours away and realize that I won't be there before they close so I call them to see if they will load me after the time. I'm told no because they go home at 1600. Inform dispatch and told to get close and they'll reschedule for first thing in the morning. I get to nearest truck stop which is 1.5 hrs away. Park, do post trip, send macros and then get called that they will wait so off I go!

Arrive get loaded and park for the night in the this little tiny town of Okeene, OK for the night.

At least the something good is coming out of this. I'm being routed thru a terminal in the next few days for all new drive tires which I've been asking for since they assigned me this truck 3 months ago.

Well here I sit at the TA in Kingsville, OH. I will miss my daughters surgery tomorrow. I am not happy! My fleet mgr knew I needed to be home. I reminded her a bunch of times. My wife is pissed at me and her. I won't get home till like noon and have to relay this load tomorrow at some point at home.

Today was definitely a crappy day. First I was sent to the wrong address by a broker. I wound up in a very hilly and tiny development I can't believe I got in or out of. Then I locked my keys in my truck. I broke the corner window trying to get in and then got put in the wrong dock that was a ##### to get into in the first place. Then I find out I won't get home in time.

I am going to get drunk as hell tomorrow!!!

    Stay safe all!!!

I am in East Longview MA..... waiting for my cons to open...had to drive through a snow storm...it was snowing heavy but no biggie....after unloaded here I have to go back through the snow up into Northern MA to pick up a load going to indiana...

I always keep a key in my boot in case I lock my keys in the truck...figured I would always have my boots on when I got out, and it has saved me a couple times so far...
